Cleanable

Overview

After years of working with desktop Macs, I picked up a MacBook again in early 2026. One thing I immediately noticed was how frustrating it is to clean the keyboard, since there’s no official way to lock it.

To solve that, I built Cleanable—a simple yet effective menu bar app that lets you toggle keyboard input using either the menu bar icon or a custom shortcut.

Additional features, such as trackpad locking and improved handling of secondary Fn key behavior, are already in development.
